dig deep people!

Does anyone remember that weird burger joint near the Edison campus? I had this memory the other day of that woman with the ridiculously long fingernails who used to work the register & take orders. Remember: her nails were so long they curled around like three times?? I can remember her managing to punch the keys on the register, take cash, make change and not break one of those disgustingly long nails.

How long did it take her to grow those things anyway?!?!

Questions

1. How could I list every song on my Ipod when there are hundreds! I teach indoor cycling classes and use it for classes as well as running (yes, I am trying to perpetuate the image of the Boulder uber athlete although I'm not quite there!). OK some favorites: Someday Baby by Bob Dylan; Sexy Back, Justine Timberlake; On the Run, Yonder Mountain String Band; California Stars, Wilco; Chocolate, Snow Patrol. My Ipod is currently out of gas so that's all on that topic for now. Music is my favorite part of exercise...well, that and the endorphins, of course!

2. Embarassing moment from childhood...the question is which one to report. Let's see, how about the day when I was 10 years old and got a perm (I have stick straight hair) on a Tuesday. My step dad asked if I had stuck a finger in a light socket. Nice. Happy to report I've been perm free for 21 years (wow that sounds old!).

3. Question for the group: how many (if any) children do you have?

4. I have seven year old twin girls (first grade) and a 2.5 year old girl. Yes, my husband (the youngest of 4 boys) is a bit outnumbered and our house is LOUD! Everyone talks at the same time.

Can't wait to see more posts!

some questions...

Here are a few questions. You can either blog the answers or email me & then I'll post them in one long blog...

a) WHAT'S ON YOUR IPOD?

b) GIVE US AN EMBARRASSING KID STORY...(and if you don't have them yourself, feel free to tell us how someone else's kid has humiliated you...)

c) WHAT QUESTION DO YOU WANT EVERYONE ELSE TO ANSWER?

d) NOW, ANSWER THAT QUESTION YOURSELF!

I'll answer these in a separate post.

If You're Ever in Town...

Just sorry I missed the reunion. Too far a journey from Holland but I hope to be at the next one. Does anyone know if we have a 25 year or 30 year one? God that makes us sound really old. I don't feel that old but something about the sound of a 20 year reunion does add an element of age. Hate to run but we have some good weather today so we need to get on our bikes before it rains. If anyone is heading to Amsterdam let me know. Cheers!

fantastic emails!

Hey Everyone!

I've been getting some fantastic emails from you guys with updates about your life & what you've been doing. It's awesome! I encourage you to post similar things on the blog. Should we start with a question or series of questions - maybe that would make it easier. OK. Let's try this: tell us something about your life (spouse, kids, job, house, hobby), try to post a photo, and post one question to the group...ask us something you want to know about everyone.

I will tackle this task in a separate post.

And please, pass the word about the blog to other classmates. I've gotten some emails kicked back.

Guess I'm not dumb either

Well, I guess I'm not as stupid as I thought either.
Samantha, I really enjoyed the reunion pictures you posted.
People have sure changed. Guess I will see everyone at the next one.

pictures from the reunion

I've begun adding users to the blog! So exciting! I've never built a multi-user blog before so I'm hoping that this is a fairly easy, straight-forward, user-friendly process. Once you're logged in to the site, Blogspot has a great help menu to guide you thru all the blogging basics. It's not rocket science. And even though I took that computer programming course at Edison in 9th grade (taught by Sark's boyfriend) I definitely utilized those help menus.

In our first bit of community sharing....I took some photos at the reunion. Click HERE to see them.

an insomniac's notion

I was lying in a half-sleep at 3AM remembering that groovy slide show at our 20 year reunion and started wondering about people from the class of 86. What's up with all of those people who weren't at the reunion? And wouldn't it be nice if we had a place where we could just post little messages to one another before another 10 or 20 years pass? Tell me - why shouldn't we just have a blog?

The intention is for this blog to be for everyone & anyone who was in the Bullard High Class of 1986. If you want to post, just send me your email address and I'll add you to the user list. If you feel completely tech-tarded you can always send me an email & I'll post it for you.

Pass the word!
